林德伯格成功橫越大西洋，令到同代飛行員爭相達成類似創舉。商業航空發展蓬勃，法國航空郵運公司亦不斷擴展，開拓南美洲航線。新一代的飛行員創下傳奇，成功橫越大西洋，受到兩岸民眾的推崇，當中包括尚．梅爾莫茲和安東尼·聖-修伯里。

早於1931年，經驗老到的飛行員威利．波斯特完成史上首次環球飛行，歷時八日。當他飛抵紐約市，即受到群眾夾道歡迎。後來億萬富翁侯活．曉治僅用了九十一小時，便完成環球飛行。女性飛行員亦創下驕人佳績，例如早期著名女性飛行員艾美麗雅‧埃爾哈特。

航空界屢創紀錄，取得重大突破。水上飛機和軟式飛船亦盛行於那個年代。飛船的性能可以媲美飛機，而且體積龐大，足以和飛機爭奪天空霸主的地位。不過，1937年5月興登堡號發爆炸，釀成悲劇，飛船霎時在航空史上銷聲匿跡。

As early as 1931, the first round-the-world trip is completed in 8 days by veteran pilot Wiley Post. He is acclaimed by the crowd upon his arrival in New York City. Then, the billionaire Howard Hughes achieves his world tour in only 91 hours. Women are also honored, with the first famous female pilots, such as Amelia Earhart. Aviation breaks all the record.

These are also the years of the seaplane and the blimp. As powerful as the airplane and of gigantic size, the airship is able to compete with the plane. But the terrible explosion of the Hindenburg will abruptly end this adventure in May 1937.
