Unique: Episode 10 of 9:11 Magazine. Magnus Walker encounters the Porsche he fell in love with as a ten-year-old; a Le Mans win aided by a stopwatch; the only 911 on Norfolk Island; in the nick of time at Le Mans; and the extraordinary life story of Herbert Linge.

Episode 10 of 9:11 Magazine tells five one-of-a-kind stories.

Chapter 1 – Magnus Walker [0:19]
A Porsche 911 Turbo in Martini colors conquered the heart of 10-year-old Magnus Walker in 1997. It was the beginning of a lifelong passion. 41 years later he meets the same car again – in his home city of Sheffield.

Chapter 2 – The stopwatch [2:34]
At the 1977 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, every second counts: Jürgen Barth drives the final lap with a stopwatch on the steering wheel of the Porsche 936/77 Spyder to avoid crossing the finish line before 4 pm.

Chapter 3 – Island Porsche [3:50]
At a mere 35 km², Norfolk Island in the vast Pacific is one of the smallest islands in the world. There are few roads, a speed limit of 50 kmh and: the only 911 within 1,400 kilometers.

Chapter 4 – The “Fetzenflieger” [5:54]
Motor racing was everything to Otto Mathé. In the 1950s, he sped from one victory to another – with the legendary “Fetzenflieger” (“tatter-flinger”). The name said it all: The cloth covers of the engine occasionally caught fire.

Chapter 5 – Herbert Linge [7:21]
He started as an apprentice, rose from mechanic to site manager and celebrated huge wins as a race car driver. Herbert Linge looks back at a life in which he set major milestones for Porsche.
