The aftermath of Colin Kaepernick’s press conference following the preseason game where he opted to sit during the national anthem has created a split argument for and against the 49ers QB. Players like Drew Brees have come out against Kaep, while others, like Jim Brown, are with him. A hashtag took over Twitter on Tuesday evening, #VeteransforKaepernick, trended worldwide as multiple veterans opted to stand with Kaep. That hashtag does not tell the whole story however, since there are of course veterans who are against Kaep as well.
