Juggling the responsibilities of being a single mom can be overwhelming, and today was no exception. My daughter, Dasomi, had an appointment with the eye doctor for a vision test, but just as I was getting ready while they were at school, I received a call from her school saying that she had a fishbone stuck in her throat.

I rushed to the school, packed some fruit, bread, and juice to help her flush down the fishbone, and we headed to the eye doctor's appointment. Dasomi told me that she could still feel the fishbone slightly in her throat, but we decided to go ahead with the vision test since she really needed new glasses.

I know that it's important to be there for my daughters, but it can be hard to juggle everything on my own. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and like I'm not doing enough. But I know that I'm a good mom (my girls tell me that), and I'm doing my best for my kids.

If you're a single child carer who's feeling overwhelmed, know that you're not alone. I understand what you're going through. And you are doing just ok.
