Kawhi Leonard has become one of, if not hands down, the best lockdown defender of his generation. This is not to sell players like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James short, but Leonard’s 1-on-1 defense is so good, teams are opting to render his matchup useless and have that player stand in the corner. For example, the Spurs took on the Bulls, and the Bulls ran their offense without Jimmy Butler. He stood in the corner of the court, while the rest of the team went to work. Remarkable really.
