LaMelo Ball’s Signature Shoe Might Cost Him College Eligibility

LaMelo Ball got his own signature BBB shoe and the release today via Slam on YouTube caused some stirs in the headlines about his eligibility to play in college. LaMelo Ball is still two years removed from attending college, however, if he has own signature shoe he cannot profit off of it and that might make him ineligible. LaVar Ball’s comments were short, but to the point in regards to the simple: “who cares” and we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
Jason Rubin discusses why checking the NCAA for eligibility in this case could potentially bring back the jump rule in a few years.
