Recent studies conducted by ESPN's "Outside the Lines" have proven the horrific effects prescription medication can do to an athletes body. As these drugs are for medical use, one remains on the outskirts of being approved though some states have already given the green light; marijuana. Roger Goodell has stated that he will look into potential marijuana usage being given a pass if it shows to aid the process of recovering from a concussion/CTE. Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers discussed it during an interview with Rolling Stone thinking it should be OK'd as well. Many NHL enforcers have said it has helped with their concussions. Why do professional leagues shy away consistently from this subject?
