Michael Bennett, defensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks, sent out a tweet in response to an article written in the Seattle Times where the author questioned Bennett’s maturity, rather unfairly. The author, Matt Calkins, apologized for his piece today. Bennett has been in the center of a lot talk from Stephen A Smith to the Seattle Media, but what often gets overlooked, unfairly, is the overwhelming amount of charitable contributions and community outreach he participates in. The list is endless and Bennett should be promoted for his work, not targeted.
