NEW Mercedes E-CLASS Estate (2023) Interior and Exterior Details

The new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate offers even more rear space compared to its predecessor. It has increased in width by 28 millimeters, providing rear passengers with increased elbow room of 1519 millimeters. The wheelbase has also grown by 22 millimeters to 2961 millimeters, resulting in more knee and leg room for rear occupants. The load compartment capacity can be expanded from 615 liters to a maximum of 1830 liters, while the plug-in hybrid model offers a luggage capacity of 460-1675 liters.

Despite its more dynamic roofline, the new E-Class Estate maintains functionality and a generous load compartment volume. The progressive overall appearance is accentuated by the raked rear window and a black panel-like surface that connects the radiator grille with the headlamps, reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models.

The interior features the MBUX Superscreen, which includes a large glass surface on the dashboard. With the optional front passenger screen, the MBUX Superscreen extends to the central display. Additionally, there is a high-resolution driver display in the driver's field of vision. The main icons on the displays have been simplified and color-coded to match smartphone tiles.

The vehicle's electronics architecture is now more software-driven, consolidating computing functions into a single processor. This enhances performance and data stream speed, as screens and the MBUX infotainment system share a powerful central onboard computer.

The E-Class Estate introduces the Digital Vehicle Key, which allows the car to be started and locked by the driver using a compatible device such as an iPhone or Apple Watch. Key sharing is also possible, enabling family members or friends to use the vehicle with different access rights. Multiple users can be recognized, and the Digital Vehicle Key can be shared with up to 16 individuals. In markets where Mercedes me connect services are available, the Digital Vehicle Key is included in the KEYLESS GO Comfort Package, which is part of the Premium Package in the new E-Class.
