China Southern Airlines is a member of SkyTeam, With headquarters based in Guangzhou, China Southern Airlines operates the largest fleet, most developed route network and largest passenger capacity of any airline in The People's Republic of China. Currently, China Southern Airlines operates 700 passenger and cargo transport aircraft, including Boeing 787, 777,747, 757 & 737 and Airbus A380, A330, A321, A 320, A319. The airline fleet is ranked the first in Asia and the 4th in the world (Data : IATA, in terms of fleet size) .China Southern Airlines is the first airline in the world to operate both A380 and 787.

China Southern Airlines has formed an extensive network with Guangzhou, Beijing, Urumqi and ChongQing as its hubs, covering all of China, radiating throughout Asia and linking Europe, America, Oceania & Africa, building an international network-oriented airline.

China Southern operates more than 2,000 daily flights to 208 destinations in 40 countries and regions across the world. Through close cooperation with its SkyTeam member airlines, China Southern’s network spans 1062 destinations to 177 countries and regions.

In these years, China Southern Airlines applies itself to build up the Canton Route, making Guangzhou as an international air hub. Now Guangzhou is becoming the first gateway between China mainland and Australasia, South Asia.

In 2011, China Southern Airlines earned its Four-Star status from SKYTRAX, the world's most prestigious airline performance evaluation organization.

In 2014, China Southern won the Stars of China Award 2014 by Global Finance Magazine ,USA and won the Chinese Most Admire Company Award by Fortune China.

In 2015, China Southern was rewarded as Excellent A330 Operator by Airbus，the "Best Airline in China" by TTG, China's Top 100 Valuable Brand Enterprise Award & Golden Pegasus Award by the 15th China International Transportation&Logistics Expo.

In 2016, China Southern was recognized as "the Fortune China 500" by FORTUNE China Magazine; rated 13th as "The Most Loved Airlines" by Skytrax,ranking the first among the airlines in the Chinese mainland.
