″I′ll Love You，′ ″The Days，′ ″On the Street″ and ″Writing a Letter to the Fall Sky″ are some of the greatest songs of the 80′s and 90′s. These timeless hits are better known as the music of The Zoo or the late Kim Kwang－seok， however， they are actually written by composer and vocalist Kim Chang－gi. With his introspective language and humble sounds， Kim Chang－gi always conveys honesty and integrity through his music. Let′s have this troubadour nourish our souls here on ONSTAGE K.
Kim Chang－ki appeared in the Korean music scene as a member of The Zoo in 1988. After the band release its 7th album in 1997， he left the band to form another band called The Warehouse with Lee Beom－yong. Upon releasing his first solo album， ″The Beauty of Falling，″ in 2000， Kim Chang－ki suspended his musical activities and focused on his career as a psychiatrist， but finally returned to the music industry again last year after a 13－year break with his second solo album.
8，90년대를 풍미했던 ′널사랑하겠어′ ′ 그날들′ ′거리에서′ ′흐린 가을 하늘에 편지를 써′ … 지금도 여전히 사랑받고 있는 이 노래들을 누군가는 ′동물원′ 누군가는 ′김광석′의 노래로 기억하고 있다. 하지만 이 주옥같은 히트곡들은 일상적인 언어를 담백하게 쉬운 멜로디에 녹여낸 평범한 그러나 결코 평범하지 않는 남자， 김창기에서 부터 만들어졌다.
동물원으로 부터 시작해 창고， 그리고 솔로 김창기까지... 솔직함 그리고 진실함으로대중의 가슴을 울리는 우리 시대의 음유시인 김창기를 만나본다.
1988년 동물원 1집 앨범 [거리에서]로 데뷔해 수많은 히트곡들을 작곡하며 인기를 끌었다. 1997년 7집을 마지막으로 동물원을 탈퇴， 그 해 이범용과 프로젝트 듀오 ′창고′를 결성했다. 그 후 2000년에는 솔로 1집 ′하강의 미학′을 발표 한 후 음악활동을 잠시 중단하고 본업인 소아정신과 의사로서 지냈던 그는 13년 만에 지난해 2집앨범 발표를 시작으로활발히 활동을 이어가고 있다.
