Soul Train is an 8－member soul band. They not only display the feelings and sentiments of Black music， but also give it a Korean spin to create rich and dynamic sounds.
Let′s meet up with this premier octet on ONSTAGE K.
Soul Train was formed in 2008 by guitarist Kwak Kyung－mook. The band was named after the American black music show ″Soul Train″ and they first gained recognition through performing musical tribute to singer Kim Choo－ja at the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in 2010 and 2011. The octet released their first full－length album， ″Band Soul Train，′ in 2011 and their second release is bound to see the light of day this coming August.
흑인음악 특유의 그루브에 한국적인 맛을 담은 소울음악을 하는 밴드 소울트레인! 8인조로 많은 인원이 함께 하는 밴드인 만큼 앙상블이 가장 우선된다는 소울트레인의 팀워크의 비결을 들어보고 탄탄한 팀워크가 만들어낸 환상의 연주와 파워풀한 보컬로 진한 소울 감성을 만끽할 수 있는 그들의 음악을 감상해본다.
아티스트 소개
2008년 기타리스트 곽경묵의 제안으로 만들어진 밴드 소울트레인은 미국 AFKN의 흑인음악버라이어티쇼인 [소울트레인]에서 그 이름을 따왔다. 2010~2011년 [지산 밸리 록 페스티벌]에서 김추자 트리뷰트 밴드 ′춤추자′ 밴드로 주목을 받으며 2011년 첫 정규앨범을 발매하고 클럽공연등 공연을 위주로 활동하고 있다.오는 8월 5년만에 내놓는 2집으로 음악팬들을 다시 찾아올 예정이다.
