BG Salon was formed by drummer and composer Bahk Geun-hyuk in 2008 and released their first full-length album, "Discovery of Habits," in 2011.
This album won Best Jazz & Crossover Album at the 2012 Korean Music Awards. After taking a long hiatus, this band finally made their much-anticipated return with their second album, "Discovery of the Present."

재즈 본연의 성질과 아름다움을 해치지 않으면서 자신들만의 문법으로 담백하고 때론 강렬하게 이야기하는 프로젝트 재즈밴드 '박근살롱'
밴드를 이끌어가는 재즈드러머 겸 작곡가박근혁이 들려주는 박근쌀롱 그리고 재즈이야기와 함께 한다.
재즈드러머 겸 작곡가 박근혁을 중심으로 2008년 결성
2011년 첫 정규앨범 [습관의 발견] 발표.
2012년 한국대중음악상 최우상 재즈&크로스오버 재즈 음반상을 수상했다
그후 4년만인 2014년 정규 2집 [현재의 발견]을 내놓으면서 이전 보다 더 진한 한국적인 정서에 한층 편안해진 음악을 들려주고 있다.
