ONSTAGE K _ Eastern Sidekick(이스턴 사이드킥) & Dirty Weather

Eastern Sidekick has been mesmerizing crowds with their hard crunching guitar, aggressive baselines, and defiant vocals; a harmonious cacophony of lyrics and sound. Going for something out of the norm, the band displays the quintessence of simple and refined yet wild and powerful garage rock with pure Korean lyrics. And they're the guest of this week's ONSTAGE K.
Eastern Sidekick is comprised of leader and guitarist Ko Han-kyul, vocalist Oh Ju-hwan, bassist Bae Sang-whan, guitarist Ryu In-hyuk and drummer Park Geun-chang. They debuted in 2010 with the single, "Monochrome Cartoon City," and released their first full-length album, "the FIRST," in 2012 and EP, "Hammer Lane," in 2013. After two years and a half, the band returned with their second full-length album, "Total Reflection," winning over both critics and fans with their seasoned musicality.

리더인 기타 고한결과 보컬 오주환, 베이스 배상환, 기타 류인혁, 그리고 새롭게 합류한 드럼 박근창으로 구성된 이스턴 사이드킥은 2010년 첫 싱글 [흑백 만화 도시]를 발매하며 라이브클럽 씬의 새로운 강자로 떠올랐다. 지난 2012년 8월에 발매한 정규 1집 [the FIRST]와 2013년 발매한 EP [추월차로] 이후 국내외 다양한 공연 및 페스티벌 무대를 통해 활동을 이어왔던 이스턴 사이드킥은 지난 해 10월 2년 반만에 정규 2집 [굴절률]을 발매하며 음악적으로 한층 더 깊어짐을 확인시켜주었다.
