History does not change, but the perspectives and methods to learn history can keep abreast of the times. The conventional ways to study Chinese History are reading from textbooks and rote learning. To dispel the prejudice that Chinese history is boring and has no practical value, Miss Chan employs playful teaching in class and interesting extra-curricular activities. She asks students to simulate different historical scenes and assume the mindset of ancient people. This method not only enhances students’ interest in Chinese history, but also allows them to understand the causes and effects of historical events in depth.

Apart from learning the basic knowledge and historical facts, Miss Chan also attaches importance to students’ knowing of the mindset and value of ancient people, such that they can reflect on the inspiration brought to their lives.
