The Golden State Warriors currently hold the 1-seed in the NBA Western Conference and the Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to crack the 8-seed by seasons end. Since Oklahoma City currently holds the reigning MVP Kevin Durant, and one of the NBA’s best point guards Russell Westbrook, no team would want to face them as an 8-seed considering they are not the true worst playoff team in the West.
While the Philadelphia 76ers are tanking for the NBA Draft, the Warriors could be in an odd position to tank the 1-seed for a more favorable matchup in the first round of the playoffs.
