Stephen Colbert takes over Letterman Late Show

Longtime late night host Dave Letterman is set to retire next year, which means a replacement had to be found and signed. When Stephen Colbert's agent came calling and expressed interest, CBS' Les Moonves had to get Letterman's blessing. It has now been announced Colbert, whose contract with Comedy Central expires at the end of the year, will take over for Letterman. What should we expect?
