The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is expanding upon the world-famous ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here,’ (WHHSH) campaign with new broadcast and digital spots for the remainder of 2016. Airing throughout the U.S. and Canada, the new ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here,’ spots begin with “Sketchbook,” first airing on the 6th June 2016. Each of the new commercials play to the ‘less is more’ humor which has been the hallmark of the WHHSH campaign for more than a decade.

“’What Happens Here, Stays Here’ expresses the unique fun and only in Vegas moments that our visitors experience,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “All of the new spots portray stories that are funny and relatable, but also provide intrigue to possible ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ moments.”

The new spots depict plausible situations that relate to all Vegas visitors, from those in the destination for the first time to returning loyalists. “Sketchbook,” the first spot to air, features a woman sharing details about her Las Vegas trip with her husband using hand-drawn images, making sure not to unveil the actual details of her trip; remaining true to the ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ theme.

Director Frank Todaro, whose previous accolades include Super Bowl commercials and other notable consumer brand campaigns, directed the new WHHSH spots; all of which were filmed in Las Vegas.

The ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ campaign positions Las Vegas as an unassuming and welcoming destination where all visitors are encouraged to escape daily monotony and ‘be who they want to be’ without judgment.
