Volvo’s new S90 is put through its paces at the company’s Safety Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The test performed here is the IIHS small overlap test. It is designed to replicate what happens when the front corner of a vehicle collides with another vehicle or an object like a tree or utility pole.
