줄거리 : 음대 기악과에서 플루트를 전공하는 자영은 어린시절부터 어머니의 엄격한 간섭과 보호로 바른 몸가짐을 강요 받으며 성충동이란 그 자체가 죄악이라는 비정상적인 의식으로 길들여진다. 남편이 혼외정사로 다른 여자의 아이를 얻자 남편에 대한 경멸과 증오심, 욕구불만을 어린 딸의 엄격한 가정교육으로 해소한다. 어느날 밤 알 수 없는 전화에 의해 자영이 잠자고 있던 성충동이 깨어나고 제과점에서 변태적인 남자의 시선에 의해 무릎에 참을 수 없는 쾌감을 느끼게 된다. 그런 성적 자극에 부딪힐 때 마다 자영은 범죄적 성행위에 대한 충동을 느낀다. 그녀의 비정상적인 성관계로 인해 어머니는 충격을 받고 집안은 혼란에 빠진다. 국악과에서 대금 연주를 하는 자영의 애인 조빈은 자영에 대해 처음엔 분노와 멸시를 갖게되나 차츰 그녀의 모습을 이해하게 되고, 생각지도 않았던 유혹에 빠지는 자영을 볼 때마다 번민하고 괴로움을 겪게 된다. 여기에 이복자매인 보영의 시기심과 보영어머니의 남편 천형석의 보복으로 자영은 큰 고통을 겪게 되고 마침내 병원에 수용된다. 자영의 모든 문제와 원인이 분석, 보고 되고 조빈은 그녀를 깊이 이해한다.

SYNOPSIS : Ja-young is a flutist. When her father has a child out of wedlock, her mother regards sex as a sin out of anger towards him. Ja-young grows up under her mother's exceedingly oppressive notions. Then by chance, Ja-young's sexual urges are expressed in an abnormal fashion. Her mother is shocked by her daughter's abnormal sexual tendencies. Ja-young's boyfriend Jo-bin starts to detest her but he slowly learns of her situation and begins to understand her. On the other hand, Ja-young suffers much by jealousy of her half-sister Bo-young and Chun Hyung-seok who takes out his revenge on her. Ja-young ends up in the hospital. All of Ja-young's problems stem from a single source. After Jo-bin learns of the reason behind her actions, he deeply understands Ja-young.
