신성록(이혁)은 목숨 걸고 청금도 재활병원에 잠입해 죽을 위기에 처한 갇힌 사람들을 구출하지만, 끝내 궁지에 몰린다. 도망갈 곳이 없는 신성록 앞에 신은경(태후 강씨)이 총을 겨누며 과감하게 방아쇠를 당긴다.

'The Last Empress' is story of a musical actress Oh Ssu Ni(Jang Na Ra) who suddenly getting married with emperor Lee Hyuk(Shin Sung Rok). Oh Ssu Ni gets in a fight against absolute power of the palace, and entangled with the murder of the emperor's grandmother as she finds true love and happiness with Na Wang Sik(Choi Jin Hyuk) her way through palace life.
