The Ford Raptor lineup, including the F-150 Raptor, F-150 Raptor R, Bronco Raptor, and now Ranger Raptor, caters to performance enthusiasts. A pre-production Ranger Raptor even won its category in the Baja 1000. The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is assembled at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan.
Built on a legacy of performance, it features an advanced suspension design, powerful engine, purposeful technology, and rugged styling, ready for the toughest terrains.
Carl Widmann, Ford Performance chief engineer, describes the Ranger Raptor as a high-performance off-road truck designed for both tight trails and daily life, offering a blend of speed, comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
The Ranger Raptor boasts a specially designed suspension with lightweight aluminum control arms and a long-travel rear suspension with a Watts linkage and trailing arms for off-road stability. It incorporates next-generation FOX™ 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks, which adjust damping performance based on various Drive Modes like Normal, Tow/Haul, Sport, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja, each fine-tuning engine, transmission, ABS, traction control, and more. The active valve exhaust system also has customizable modes including Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Baja. Trail Control™ technology helps navigate tricky spots by managing throttle and brakes.
Under the hood, a twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine delivers 430 lb.-ft. of torque and 405 horsepower, making it the most powerful Ranger ever. The engine features an anti turbo-lag system for instant boost and is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission and an advanced four-wheel drive system with front and rear locking differentials.
The Ranger Raptor's design is functional and bold, with LED projector headlights, a steel bumper with integrated tow hooks, flared fenders, and 33-inch all-terrain tires on 17-inch wheels. It also includes underbody protection with a high-strength steel bash plate and additional shields for the engine, transfer case, and fuel tank.
Inside, the Raptor offers a sporty cabin with a steering wheel featuring magnesium alloy paddle shifters, premium materials, and Ford Performance front seats. It comes equipped with a 360-Degree Camera, Front View Camera, Zone Lighting, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12-inch center touchscreen with SYNC® 4A, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™. For audio, it includes a Bang & Olufsen® sound system.
