Many look back to the 1985 draft, also known as “the frozen envelop” or “folded envelope” draft, where David Stern seemingly had the Knicks winning the lottery so Patrick Ewing could go to a big market. The 76ers won the draft lottery, and for the first time in its history, the lottery panned out exactly as the odds predicted.
