At White Cube Hong Kong, British sculptor Anthony Gormley is showing a series of sculptures reflecting the density of the city's lifestyle. "States and Conditions, Hong Kong" is a series of sculptures in lines and cubes, echoing the way we increasingly live not only vertically, one on top of another, but also in cubic spaces. Raised in a Roman Catholic family, Gormley travelled to India and Sri Lanka for three years. While there he studied Buddhism, which still resonates in his work.

It's time to celebrate three of Hong Kong's most venerated artists at the Hanart TZ Gallery. Those three veterans of the Hong Kong arts scene are Gaylord Chan, Luis Chan, and Chu Hing-wah, and the exhibition runs until Thursday 8th May..

Danish artist Michael Elmgreen met the Norwegian Ingar Dragset in Copenhagen in 1995. Elmgreen was writing and performing poetry. Dragset was studying theatre. In 2006, they bought a large former water-pumping station in Berlin and converted it into a home and studio. In 2008, Elmgreen moved to London, but they still continue to work together and are currently holding their first exhibition in Hong Kong. For their debut at Galerie Perrotin, the territory's colonial past serves as a reference The eerie, gothic, black room is decorated with white neoclassic furniture and with recurring works of the artists, who regularly focus on what they see as the monolithic nature of European history and culture.

Some Hong Kong people will know Shan Shan Sheng's work through her large glass installation "Dancing Ribbons" at the entrance of Hong Kong Station at Two International Finance Centre. She's well known for her large glass public art works. But Contemporary by Angela Li is currently presenting a solo exhibition by Sheng that showcases a wider range of work: paintings, glass sculptures and installations.
