Not long ago ESPN ran a 30 for 30 documentary called “Broke” which highlighted professional athletes having poor financial stability after making a healthy chunk of change during the careers in each respective short. This new story about Columbus Blue Jacket’s player Jack Johnson fits in right with that documentary - but not at the fault of his own spending. Johnson’s family was put in charge of his finances, in part because Johnson wanted them too, and their awful spending habit and loans with extremely high interest rates proved to be catastrophic for Jack Johnson’s wallet. He filed bankruptcy this week - he did it at a bank that he arrived to in his own Ferrari - that is not something you hear everyday.
