Ben Simmons is still pegged to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, but ahead of his selection, Nike has already penned him to a shoe deal. Simmons’ contract will approach that of LeBron James and Kevin Durant’s rookie deals, but will easily surpass the $7.5 million that was offered him before the draft lottery. Simmons held out on signing the deal with Nike until after the lottery, given that the Sixers got the first pick, it is evident that he will be selected.
