Kobe Bryant's massive contract extension left many NBA fans and supporters of the Los Angeles Lakers shaking their heads in great despair. Why pay a player in the twilight of his career and being dealt with two huge injuries to overcome a massive contract? Jeanie Buss went on record defending the deal and also providing promise to improve the Lakers. However, there are more problems than on the surface; mainly can Jim Buss turn around this franchise and will Mitch Kupchak ever get full control? Will Mike D'Antoni, a questionable hire from the beginning, come back next season?
