Cristiano Ronaldo is one of few players who the world footballing universe revolves around, and with that attention, comes a rather large spotlight. During Sunday’s match against Sporting Gijon, Ronaldo kicked Nacho Cases from behind in violent fashion.

Ronaldo insisted that it was unintentional and when he asked about the kick after the match, he responded: "It was instinctive. They could have shown me a yellow card. If I kicked him on purpose he would not have got up. I shouldn't have done it."
