Dale Earnhardt Jr, one of the most famous NASCAR drivers in the sports history, recently voiced his opinion and strongly urged that NASCAR take down the Confederate Flag at racetracks. In addition to Earnhardt, Chairman Brian France of NASCAR, also pleaded the same case wanting the flag to be disassociated from the sport. The movement to remove the Confederate Flag is rooted in the awful and horrific Charleston, South Carolina shootings and the petition for the flag to come down as a wrongful symbol of a particularly racist association.
