The FinTech Abu Dhabi Innovation Challenge is an initiative of Abu Dhabi Global Market in collaboration with KPMG to support the development of FinTech within the region and to act as a catalyst for collaboration between incumbent financial services institutions and FinTech start-ups. In this year’s Challenge, selected start-ups will be tasked to develop a prototype solution addressing real business issues identified by our UAE-based institutions (Corporate Champions). Each start-up and Corporate Champion will present the outcome of their collaboration before an audience of financial institutions, regulators, corporates and media on our Demo Day scheduled on 17 September 2018 in conjunction with FinTech Abu Dhabi 2018.

Beyond the Innovation Challenge, start-ups may have the opportunity to enter into long-term relationships with the Corporate Champions. Start-ups will also gain access to the KPMG Digital Village’s innovation ecosystem, and will be invited to set up their base in ADGM’s Innovation Centre co-working space on Al Maryah Island.

The much-anticipated 2nd edition of FinTech Abu Dhabi will be held on 17 September 2018 in Abu Dhabi at the Fairmont Bab al Bahr Hotel under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The event will bring together innovators, leading financial institutions, start-ups, investors, regulators and business leaders locally and globally.
