Borussia Dortmund’s game against Mainz couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start, as they conceded an unusual goal in the very first minute. Weidenfeller flattened his teammate Subotic when punching the ball out, but it only went as far as the quick-thinking Elkin Soto, who volleyed home a wonderful lob over a puzzled Dortmund defence inside 60 seconds. Borussia managed to fight back though, and ended up recording a 4-2 win.
