The New York Knicks No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 draft, Kristaps Porzingis, has taken over the NBA with his length, three-point shot, multiple blocks and putback dunks as we approach the all-star break. He won over Carmelo Anthony after photos surfaced of a young Porzingis rocking cornrows when he was a kid, and he earned the praise of Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant, who said his skillset was so unique that it made him a “unicorn” in the NBA. The Knicks have improved upon last seasons torrid record and are in contention for the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference and a lot of that has to do with Porzingis’ immediate impact, amongst Melo staying healthy and the additions of Arron Afflalo and Robin Lopez.
