Charles Barkley was featured on the Mike and Mike program where he stated that the NBA has a major power imbalance, and that outside of five teams (Warriors, Clippers, Thunder, Spurs and Cavaliers), it has become unwatchable. The matchups regarding those five teams have been a treat to NBA fans this season, and whether you are on the Warriors bandwagon or not, the biggest storyline through 60 games is that Golden State has its sights on the greatest regular season record of all time. The likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul have made the best teams in the league play at a remarkably high level, but as for the rest of the league, the competition is far from entertaining.
“Listen, first of all, I want to thank the Golden State Warriors, because it’s been very awful basketball this year. Awful. I mean, just bad. If you think about it -- and I’m not no old guy hating -- but unless Golden State is playing the Clippers, the Cavs, Oklahoma City, the Spurs, I’m not going to watch a full NBA basketball [game].”
