Kawhi Leonard and Jamal Crawford were instrumental in the success of both the Spurs and Clippers this season, and the NBA writers and broadcasters recognized that after awarding Leonard his second straight defensive player of the year award and Crawford his third sixth man of the year award. Draymond Green finished as the runner up to the DPOY for a second straight season as well, and his teammate, Andre Iguodala, finished runner up to Crawford for the sixth man award. Both winners teams are looking at series leads in the Western Conference first-round playoffs.
