Kobe Bryant 2013 - Highest Paid NBA Player

Kobe Bryant is 35 years old and coming off an achilles injury, one that many players do not ever recover from. The Los Angeles Lakers rewarded Bryant with a two year, $48,000,000 extension. In the long run it will hinder the Lakers spending if they do not let Steve Nash and Pau Gasol hit free agency. Can the Lakers still possibly land Carmelo Anthony with most of their funds going to Bryant or was this just the wrong move from Lakers management?
