Johnson, Russell and Ball will not be the future of the Los Angeles Lakers, as the once highly touted by Magic Johnson himself prospect D’Angelo is headed to Brooklyn. Now, there is nothing wrong with Magic Johnson hyping up Lonzo Ball, the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but it seemed off for Magic to take a shot at Russell’s leadership. Johnson once wanted to be the mentor on and off the court to Russell and it seems like he is saying many similar things about Lonzo, but hopefully Lonzo is here to stay.
