Cuadrado’s screamer of a goal led Mexico to a strong 3-1 victory over Jamaica in the Gold Cup Final, but may have criticized Mexico’s place in the Final after a controversial semi-final win against Panama. Mexico was on the better end of referee calls in the semi-final game which parallels the opposite feeling they had after a World Cup loss to Netherlands on Arjen Robben’s penalty. Jamaica’s was unable to defend against Mexico after proving a stronger effort in their semi-final win over the USMNT. Was Mexico deserving of the Gold Cup?
