Cleveland has not been able to call themselves champions for a long time, but at Saturday’s UFC 198 in Brazil, a hero rose from the city to become a champion of the UFC’s heavyweight division. Stipe Miocic, a Cleveland native, knocked out Fabricio Werdum just two and half minutes into the opening round to take the championship belt. As for the rest of the card, Cyborg enjoyed her first UFC win with an 81 second stoppage that showed off her strength and agility, while Ronaldo Souza defeated Vitor Belfort via TKO (punches) just a few seconds into the first round as well. The most wild story from Brazil came from one of the preliminary card fighters, Matt Brown, who’s ex-trainer ran into the hotel lobby on Sunday and assaulted the fighter. Video was captured outside the hotel of Brown’s friend beating up Brown’s ex-trainer.
