In honor of Mo Williams dropping 52 points on January 13, Bleacher Report compiled a list of the most unlikely scoring outbursts in NBA history. While the list is stacked with players who, at the time, were certainly unlikely to drop 50 points games, there is always room for debate. Terrence Ross pulled out a 50+ point game against the Los Angeles Clippers last season, at the time he was averaging just over 10 points per game. Jamal Crawford is a streaky shooter, but has proven his volume scoring ability by posting three 50 point games in his career.
Bleacher Report List:
“The Minnesota Timberwolves point guard was en fuego Tuesday night, exploding for a career-high 52 points, more than any other player has produced in a single game throughout the 2014-15 season. He couldn't miss as the game drew to a conclusion, leading his Wolves to victory against the defense of the Indiana Pacers.”
