FC Barcelona and Brazilian world football star will become the first to don a pair of his own Air Jordan’s. The 23 year old is having a terrific season and was recently recognized by the Ballon d’Or by being placed on their shortlist amongst Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Jordan Brand is most notable for sponsoring NBA athletes, like Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, but is accustomed to branching out into the NFL, MLB, Track & Field and more. Neymar is likely to be the first of many world football sponsorships.
"According to Sole Collector, Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr.—of FC Barcelona and his country's national team—will be getting his own edition of the Jordan 5 low this fall. The move makes sense, considering Neymar's been working with Nike on products and marketing campaigns for a long while now. Oh, and there's also the fact that he's a massive international superstar."
