The DEA launched multiple surprise investigations against 6 NFL teams last weekend because of the unauthorized prescriptions of the NSAID (Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) Toradol. The drug Toradol is used by over 50% of the surveyed retired NFL players in the 1990’s and 2000’s before and after games. Players claim it numbed the pain during the game and multiple sources have stated they were addicted to it psychologically. The NFL has had its handful of problems to deal with this season and in light of the various surfacing reports on concussion problems after retiring and these investigations are not going to help.
