FC Bayern München and Schalke 04 have kicked off their winter training camps in Qatar to a rock-star welcome. All eyes were on Manuel Neuer as he prepared to jet off to Zürich for the Ballon d'Or award. He returned to a Bayern squad almost a full-strength as long-term absentees returned from injury. Schalke though suffered further injury woes as 3 players left Doha early. But they did receive a boost with a strong addition to the squad.
