Serena Williams is one of the greatest tennis players of all time and has transcended her sport by collecting a trophy cabinet that would make some of the top athletes in the world jealous. John McEnroe was asked recently if Serena was one of the greatest tennis players of all time and he said “greatest women’s tennis player of all time”, to which he followed up by adding “she would be 700th on the mens circuit”. Backlash ensured.
