HGH, steroids and performance enhancing drugs have cast a negative shadow over the world of sports. The MLB struggled with an era defined by steroid use, behind the likes of Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez, and the NFL is now in the spotlight after an Al Jeezera documentary claimed Peyton Manning used HGH back in 2011. Steroids and other forms of PED’s are linked to the NFL, specifically with offensive and defensive lineman and have become a growing cause of concern in light of the research on CTE and brain trauma that ex-NFL athletes face later in life. The other side of the argument, as noted by Mark Cuban, claims that HGH can be used to help athletes recover from injuries faster than just going through traditional rehab.
