There was a South Korean goalscoring contest in the meeting between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Heung-Min Son struck first, putting Leverkusen 1-0 up in the 15th minute. But shortly before the final whistle, his fellow countryman Ja-Cheol Koo scored twice from the penalty spot, giving him the upper hand in the mini-contest. Son won’t be too disheartened though, as his Bayer 04 side managed to win the game 3-2.
