SPURS Grind Down Steph Curry and the Warriors 87-79 [Steve Kerr “You Like That?!”]

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Golden State Warriors 87-79 on Saturday in the heavily anticpated matchup of the two best teams in the NBA. The Spurs played tremendous perimeter defense and hounded Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson at the arc, which resulted in a rough 4-of-18 shooting performance from the reigning MVP. The Warriors were unable to get into their groove, and were without Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bogut, although the Spurs still played small for most of the game. Boris Diaw and LaMarcus Aldridge were the difference makers to tilt the matchup in favor of San Antonio. Warriors coach Steve Kerr received a technical foul after screaming at the ref, and even cracked a smile at Gregg Popovich saying “you like that?”.
