The Chicago Cubs have broken the 108 year World Series drought and they did it in one of the greatest baseball games every played. The Cubs and Indians entered extra innings after a deadlock 6-6 tie at the end of nine innings, but Ben Zobrist and Montero drove in two runs to take a 8-6 lead in the top of the 10th. The Indians tried one last time to claw back after grabbing one run to cut the lead to 8-7 in the bottom half of the inning, but Mike Montgomery earned his first save (and easily the greatest moment of his life) after Martinez to dribble the last out to Kris Bryant, who smiled as he threw the ball to Anthony Rizzo, breaking the 108 year old curse.
