Deadspin is one of the most popular sports websites in the United States and part of the Kinja blog network that has a massive audience reach. On Monday, the NFL and mostly Twitter, sent out 18 DCMA requests (basically copyright warnings) to Deadspin and prevented them from posting GIFS or Vines on Twitter. Deadspin frequently uses GIFS and vines from major plays or fans in the crowd during broadcasts. Many took to Twitter, including Keith Olbermann, demanding Deadspin’s account to be reinstated.
