Every second counts when it comes to frontline ambulance services!



One day, Tak, a Principal Ambulanceman, receives instructions to give first aid to an old man who has fainted due to a heart attack. The old man is in critical condition, and his family urges to have him taken to the nearest hospital. However, according to the guidelines, patients must be sent to the designated hospitals within the catchment areas where they are located, unless special circumstances dictate otherwise. Despite the designated hospital being two kilometres further than the nearest hospital, Tak has no choice but to follow the guidelines.



As this issue is literally a matter of life and death, Claire, a Chief Investigation Officer from the Office of The Ombudsman, decides to initiate a direct investigation. She works with Investigation Officer, Bobby, in hopes of persuading the Hospital Authority and Fire Services Department to improve the designated hospital system. Claire’s aim is for them to strike a balance between medical efficiency and life-saving, so that patients in critical condition can receive the help they really need. However, representatives of the two parties take an uncompromising stance during the entire process, causing Bobby to doubt his superior’s investigative direction...
