The largest exhibition of Dunhuang culture including religion, art, history and folklore are now on show at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. "Dunhuang - Untold Tales, Untold Riches" consists of 120 artefacts, a 13 meter long Buddha, and the museum has to make special arragement for the three replicas caves. The third edition of Freespace Fest organised by the West Kowloon Cultural District two weeks ago recorded their highest attendance with over 43,000 people visited. The two day outdoor event includes concerts, physical theatre, dance, literary arts, markets, and this year, an interactive smart show called M.U.R.S. German artist Friedrich Kunath moved to Los Angeles in 2007. He transferred the life and weather in California into his canvass. His works encompasses painting, sculpture, drawing, video and photography. In his first solo exhibition in White Cube Hong Kong, Friedrich Kunath create a multi-media environment to talk about varied themes of human conditions, love, loss and loneliness. When asked to describe his approach to cello playing, British cellist Oliver Coates said, “Think Sonic Youth and their guitars." That involves tuning or stringing the instrument in unusual ways. He is in Hong Kong for a month long musician-in-residence programme organised by the British Council.
